2 things you can never obtain enough knowledge on but yet talk about for hours on end.

  • Abandon the all-or-nothing approach. So you don’t have an hour? How about 30 minutes? It’s certainly better than nothing, and if you work smart you can really reap benefits from a 30-minute workout.
  •  

  • Try a mind-body approach. Start out with 3o minutes you set aside each day just for you,  in which you focus on breathing and stretching, can give you a taste of exercise’s feel-good benefits.  I recommend 1st thing in the morning.  Yes, I know, that extra 30 minutes of sleep, but try going to bed 30 min. earlier. I know you will feel an immediate stress release, and you may feel the benefits sooner without feeling the soreness that comes with strength training or even cardio right away.”  Start out with streaching and a 5 min. warm-up.  Put a exercise dvd in or if you got a tread mill or eliptical even better.  Need some fresh air to wake you up?  Try walking to the end of your drive way and back several times.  You will find your mind clearer and see how beautiful the surroundings really are of the mornings and how blessed you are.  I promise that when you are ready to go to work you will feel alot better and have a boost in your step than dragging in and saying “where’s the coffee”.

    THINK POSITIVE

    Getting results depends on mind, faith, time and focus and how big or small your goal is.

    Do you keep telling yourself you cannot do something or make excuses to make yourself feel better?

    Focus your mind on Positive Words …this can effect your subconscious mind and transform your attitude and reactions to your decisions and hour you relate to stress, your family and loosing weight.

    Bring Positive  Images to your MIND

    for ex: I have lots of energy!  I am surrounded by love…

    You are in control of today. It is your choice to believe in yourself that you can make a difference in your life and the people you love. You will never get today back. It is up to you how you decide to live it. You can waste it away or decide today is the day I want to be healthy and happy!
    When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; one less day you have in your life. How you choose to live it is up to you. Let it be positive and uplifting!

    From time to time I will be sharing some “cute’ stories from my twins. 

                        2010 FLIP FEST GYMNASTIC CAMP

    My girls attended the Flip Fest this year right here in our own back yard!    

    Flip Fest is the only summer camp owned and operated by two Olympians John Macready and John Roethlisberge.  
    We decided to stop at BP to pick up lunch, after all a celebration is due from being away all week from home.  The twins wanted a ice cream shake.  Alyssa asked the attendant if she had any low fat ice cream pints? (u pick out what kind you want then the machine mixes it to a milkshake) The attendant looked at her quite strangely and  said “this kind has strawberries in it, might be low fat.” Alyssa quickly turned the pint of ice-cream to the contents and quoted “MOM! This has 68 grams of sugar in it! I would be bouncing off the wall!  I will just stick to my diet Dr. Pepper!         Needless to stay the attendant looked at us like we were crazy!  Teach your kids values and if most of the time they make the right the decisions then its all worth it!
